I wanted to hire a Hilux for driving in rough roads in Zimbabwe for 16 days. Starting Harare, to the Eastern Highlands, across the Great Zimbabwe, the difficult tracks in Matobos, the awful A8 to Hwange, to Victoria Falls for pick-up. The prices quoted by most companies like Avis Hertz etc are crazy - the highest in the world, and I have driven in many countries. Yarutso were not cheap but more reasonable. Viktor was very responsible and the communication was excellent. They were completely reliable. They have a small office in central Harare where you go to pay and that worked out fine. The car was maintained sufficiently and it did what we wanted it to do. The pickup worked as planned. I would use them again and highly recommend them to others. Ian from London UK ~ IanJames D

I did a lot of research on car rental companies for my two week road trip in Zimbabwe in FEB26. I decided to go with Yarutso Car Rental based on the very positive reviews from previous renters. It was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive rental, but the Hyundai Tuscon was just right for our party of four with four cases. I was a little concerned with paying for the full rental upfront in order to secure the reservation, but I needn’t have been. The car was delivered by Honest to our home in Harare as requested, was a pleasure to drive on the Zimbabwean roads with sufficient ground clearance for some of worst dirt roads, and was picked up at Harare airport as arranged. I initially booked the smallest economy car available but the team informed me as a frequent client I could get an upgrade to a mid-size SUV at no extra cost . Here is how this upgrade made my trip even better : 1. comfort - the SUV provided more space for my luggage and family. 2. Safety- the larger vehicle felt more secure, especially on highways and winding roads . 3. Yarutso was the answer to my need for a holiday car. I rented their car from Harare for a week and spent part of my holiday in Bulawayo. These guys were very professional and friendly. Their Toyota Hybrid Aqua was in a very good condition too. Traffic police was not a problem, as the car was up to date with everything police looked for on the car. Collecting the car and returning was also easy. I liked everything about Yarutso Car Rental. I would recommend them to anybody looking for a car to rent while on holiday in Zimbabwe. The team at Yarutso Car rental led by Tawanda was a pleasure to deal with from the initial correspondence to the car drop off. They were efficient, Karen delivered the car to us at the Airport, she was very polite, delivered clear instructions/explanations regarding the service agreement and the vehicle (Nissan Xtrail). Vehicle was clean and in good condition, we never had any mechanical issues for the 19 days we had it. A couple of days before the expiration of the car registration they sent someone to drop off new registration pretty much at our door step(great customer service). We dropped off the car at the Airport, fair assessment of the vehicle, no unexpected charges. The young fella who picked up the car was again polite and respectful. While in the UK planning a trip to Gokwe, I found this car rental company through LinkedIn and decided to try them. The booking process was smooth. I received the invoice via WhatsApp, requested an email confirmation before paying via Mukuru, and everything was handled professionally. I also paid a cash deposit for an easy refund. I booked an X-Trail but was pleasantly upgraded to a newer, more comfortable Toyota Hilux at no extra cost when I arrived in Harare. Honestly, Yarutso Rental Cars is probably the best in Harare. The staff are so nice, friendly, and really helpful, and they’re available 24/7 whenever you need them. I rented two of their cars and honestly had such a good experience. They even came to collect the cars from the airport when we returned them because we didn’t have time to drive them back to their offices. That was really convenient and made things so much easier for us. What I liked most was how they handled any issues. If there’s ever a problem with the car, they come to you and sort it out. They even gave me a spare car to use while they were fixing the other one, so I wasn’t left without a car or inconvenienced. That really stood out to me. Very warm welcomed by the Yarutso team. A team that listens and gives good advice. We rented the vehicle (Honda Fit) to go from Harare to Victoria Falls passing through Bulawayo (the other road passing through Kwekwe is not yet operational)- so for about 900 km -, and everything went smoothly, no glitches; the team is very attentive, asking for updates on the itinerary.
