I did a lot of research on car rental companies for my two week road trip in Zimbabwe in FEB26. I decided to go with Yarutso Car Rental based on the very positive reviews from previous renters. It was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive rental, but the Hyundai Tuscon was just right for our party of four with four cases. I was a little concerned with paying for the full rental upfront in order to secure the reservation, but I needn’t have been. The car was delivered by Honest to our home in Harare as requested, was a pleasure to drive on the Zimbabwean roads with sufficient ground clearance for some of worst dirt roads, and was picked up at Harare airport as arranged. I am a frequent user of Yarutso car rental when I visit Zimbabwe. I initially booked the smallest economy car available but the team informed me as a frequent client I could get an upgrade to a mid-size SUV at no extra cost . Here is how this upgrade made my trip even better : 1. comfort - the SUV provided more space for my luggage and family. 2. Safety- the larger vehicle felt more secure, especially on highways and winding roads . 3. Features - i enjoyed the extra features like gps, bluetooth connectivity, a spacious trunk and better visibility. This unexpected upgrade added a touch of luxury to my trip . Yarutso was the answer to my need for a holiday car. I rented their car from Harare for a week and spent part of my holiday in Bulawayo. These guys were very professional and friendly. Their Toyota Hybrid Aqua was in a very good condition too. Traffic police was not a problem, as the car was up to date with everything police looked for on the car. Collecting the car and returning was also easy. I liked everything about Yarutso Car Rental. I would recommend them to anybody looking for a car to rent while on holiday in Zimbabwe. While in the UK planning a trip to Gokwe, I found this car rental company through LinkedIn and decided to try them. The booking process was smooth. I received the invoice via WhatsApp, requested an email confirmation before paying via Mukuru, and everything was handled professionally. I also paid a cash deposit for an easy refund. I booked an X-Trail but was pleasantly upgraded to a newer, more comfortable Toyota Hilux at no extra cost when I arrived in Harare. Very warm welcomed by the Yarutso team. A team that listens and gives good advice. We rented the vehicle (Honda Fit) to go from Harare to Victoria Falls passing through Bulawayo (the other road passing through Kwekwe is not yet operational)- so for about 900 km -, and everything went smoothly, no glitches; the team is very attentive, asking for updates on the itinerary.
